The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic content about the functioning of new media, as well as the ability to understand how media and other systems rise from locality to globality and how the global becomes local, as well as the ability to make some inferences about the future of nation states and the world in the global system we live in. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
It consists of concepts and theories related to new media, Internet journalism, citizen journalism, freedom of expression in new media and the paradox of the spiral of silence, surveillance society, the concept of globalization and the globalization process, approaches to globalization and the dimensions of globalization, ideology, consumer society, nation state and related issues. . |
