| Objectives: | The aim of this course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to distinguish, correctly pronounce, write, and appropriately use medical and radiological terminology related to the musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, central nervous system, circulatory system, urogenital system, and other organs. |
| Content: | In this course, the following topics are covered: an introduction to medical terminology; basic definitions and terms related to human anatomy; rules for reading medical terms; combining vowels; the elements that form medical terms (prefixes, suffixes, roots, and combining vowels); medical abbreviations; terms related to blood and hematopoietic organs; lymphatic and immune system terminology; cardiovascular system terminology; respiratory system terminology; digestive system terminology; ophthalmologic terms; urinary system terminology; genital system terminology; otologic terms; eponyms and synonyms; nervous system and psychiatric disorders; endocrine and metabolic disorders; and terms related to the musculoskeletal system. |
