| Objectives: | The aim of this course is to provide systematic assessment of critically ill or injured patients, application of basic and advanced life support algorithms in accordance with current protocols, and development of effective clinical decision-making skills in life-threatening cardiovascular emergencies. |
| Content: | This course covers scene assessment, initial and secondary assessment of the patient/casualty, basic ECG knowledge and analysis, shockable and non-shockable rhythm management, defibrillation and cardioversion applications, pre-hospital emergency care for tachyarrhythmias and bradyarrhythmias, advanced life support and intubation applications, approach to patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), reversible causes of arrest and case management. |
