| Objectives: | The aim of this course is for students to learn the fundamental principles of treatment planning in radiotherapy; to be able to identify target volumes and at-risk organs using imaging data; and to create and evaluate appropriate dose distributions through treatment planning systems. |
| Content: | Treatment Planning Contents include the purpose of patient positioning and body contouring with patient support systems, treatment techniques in planning, tissue inhomogeneity, volume definitions in radiotherapy, ICRU 50 and ICRU 62, conformal radiotherapy, and isodose curves and dose distributions. |
