Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to evaluate the social opposition that emerged with the modern state in the context of rights and freedoms and social movements, which are one of the repertoires of action in social opposition, in a comprehensive historical context.
Content: The course covers the birth of social movements in the modern state, theories of social movements, global social movements, social movements in Turkey and the impact of developments in communication technology on social movements.
