This course introduces the basic concepts for understanding the behavior of individuals and groups and discusses the relationship of behavioral sciences with sociology, psychology and anthropology. Individual-level psychological elements such as personality, self-perception, learning processes, emotions, attitudes and prejudices are examined, as well as factors that guide behavior such as perception, needs and motivation. The effects of cultural structures on individual behavior and social dynamics such as social interaction patterns, roles and social influences are also covered. In addition, it is aimed to contribute to both personal development and social relations of individuals by presenting solutions to situations encountered in daily life such as effective communication skills, conflict and stress management. The concept of leadership and current approaches in behavioral sciences are also discussed in the following weeks of the course, allowing students to evaluate human behavior in a multidimensional way. |
