Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course offers a framework for understanding the entrepreneurial process and exposes students to challenges, problems, and issues faced by entrepreneurs who start new businesses. Additionally, students understand the role and importance of entrepreneurship for economic development, develop personal creativity and entrepreneurial initiative and understand the stages of the entrepreneurial process and the resources needed for the successful development of entrepreneurial ventures. Finally, students identify the risks, returns, and other aspects of entrepreneurship as a potential career.
Content: Contents of the course include entrepreneurship and its historical perspective, the mind-set of entrepreneurs and their creative thinking while generating new entries, and identifying/analyzing domestic and international opportunities while protecting their ideas and other legal issues. This course also embraces the subjects for the entrepreneur candidates as in how to prepare entrepreneurship process, business model and strategies and how to prepare and present a business plan, marketing plan, organizational plan and financial plan.
