Objectives and Contents

Objectives: To provide students with knowledge about the global financial system by introducing the structure and functioning of international financial markets and the key financial institutions operating in these markets.
Content: The structure of the international financial system, Foreign exchange markets and exchange rate systems, International capital movements, Eurobonds, Eurocurrencies, and other offshore markets, International banking and multinational financial institutions, International financial institutions (IMF, World Bank, BIS, etc.), Global financial crises and their effects, International regulations and Basel.
