Objectives and Contents

Objectives: 1. Calculation of two-dimensional incompressible potential flow around airfoils by panel methods. 2. Calculation of three-dimensional incompressible potential flow around finite wings by panel methods. 3. Calculation of three-dimensional incompressible potential flow around aircraft fuselages by panel methods.
Content: Fundamentals of frictionless incompressible flow, general solutions of incompressible potential flow equations, panel methods, singularity elements and influence coefficients, two-dimensional numerical solutions, three-dimensional numerical solutions, time-dependent incompressible potential flow, refinements applied to the potential flow model
