Objectives and Contents

Objectives: Introduction to Architectural Design II course aims to provide students with the skills of questioning, understanding, criticizing, proposing, producing and representing volume, space and place architectures. It is aimed to provide students with the knowledge/skill/habit of making-production required for architectural experiments and theoretical discussions. At the end of the semester, students are expected to have the ability to produce a creative space that reflects their aesthetic/composition knowledge, has qualified volumes, and has a structured structure, within a context regarding the body-space relationship.
Content: The course includes short projects that require more complex skills and knowledge on subjects such as body-space relationship, composition building, structure/surface/volume information and abstraction, which are also discussed in the Introduction to Architectural Design 1 course, and students' production of a context-restricted architectural project that they will design using all this information.
