This course aims to transfer the basic theoretical knowledge, technologies and architectural practices, together with solution examples, in order to design the built environment under climate, light, sound control, environmental awareness, environmental factors and energy efficiency together with other issues in the architectural design process. It provides the necessary theoretical and practical infrastructure to produce solutions related to sensitive design parameters and building physics and to adapt them to integrated designs. |
Content: |
This course includes topics such as air conditioning, lighting, acoustics and noise control related to the design of the physical environment by considering the relationship between sustainability and human comfort. Passive air conditioning: climate and climate elements, climatic comfort, design variables related to the built environment that are effective in climate and energy control (location, direction, building envelope, building form, building spacing, etc.); Lighting: basic information, visual comfort, design variables related to the built environment that affect light control (windows, volume dimensions, internal surface reflectivity, external barriers, artificial light sources, etc.); Sound control: the relationship between human health and noise, designing the built environment as a noise control system, noise and vibration control in buildings, sound insulation in building elements, acoustic design of halls. |
