Objectives: | During the course, it was aimed to determine the unique architectural features of Islamic architecture with the emergence of Islam and its effects on building types. Within the scope of the course, terminological concepts specific to Islamic architecture, building an attempt will be made to develop the ability to make comments by comparatively examining the formal and functional changes in the species. |
Content: | Starting from the seventh century, when the religion of Islam developed, the understanding of architecture will be defined with the building types in the Islamic geography of the Abbasid period. Turkish Islam established in Central Asia The architectural features of religious and civil buildings built by the states will be examined. The architectural environment of the period defined as the Anatolian Seljuk and Principalities period will be revealed through the buildings established through zoning movements. Ottoman period architecture (1299-1923) will be examined under different period names defined by the major changes in the architectural discipline. Architecture in the first quarter century of the Republic of Türkiye The changes in the environment will be explained. |
