Objectives and Contents

Objectives: Measurement of the land/earth surface which is the basis of the application of projects and designs, and information measurements that will enable the application of the designed plans and shares to the land using topography tools and equipment.
Content: Definitions of topography, its scope and usage areas, types of scales and calculation methods, features and functions of topographic devices, length measurement methods, marking of points and lines, length measurements on obstacle and unobstructed lands, height measurement methods, geometric height measurement, leveling works, area measurement methods in the field, area calculation from land measurements, area calculation from coordinate values, area measurement with planimeter, adjustment and installation of topography-related devices, length and angle measurements in the field, leveling and polygon calculations, application of calculation results to the land and making drawings according to topographic measurement results.
