Objectives and Contents

Objectives: It is aimed to provide information, attitude, and skills on the electrophysical principles of electrotherapy; the examination of tissue responses to electrotherapy modalities commonly used in physiotherapy; and the mechanisms of action and application methods of low- and medium-frequency currents.
Content: Introduction to electrotherapy, electrophysical principles, electrical properties of cells and tissues, nerve activations, stimulation effects in muscle, galvanic and faradic current applications, pain mechanisms, properties of currents and application methods (TENS, diadynamic current, interferential current, ultra-reactive currents, russian current microcurrents) .
