Objectives and Contents

Objectives: It is aimed to provide information, attitude and skills on evaluation and planning and applying appropriate physiotherapy approaches in areas where the physiotherapist plays a role, including patients with orthopedic problems, athlete health, prosthesis–orthosis–biomechanics applications, post–upper extremity, hand, and peripheral nerve injuries, rheumatic diseases, and rehabilitation in women’s health.
Content: Selection and application of assessment methods specific to orthopedic problems, determination of short- and long-term goals in the treatment of patients with orthopedic conditions, recognition of orthopedic surgical interventions involving bone and soft tissues, recognition of possible postoperative complications and prevention methods, discussion and implementation of current postoperative orthopedic rehabilitation protocols, enhancement of the knowledge and skill level required for the application of treatment methods related to orthopedic rehabilitation, basic-level applications related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation in sports, fundamental knowledge regarding the physiotherapy and rehabilitation of outpatient-managed upper extremity, hand, and peripheral nerve injuries, outpatient services, ambulatory treatment follow-up, and basic-level practices performed in inpatient wards for the physiotherapy and rehabilitation of rheumatic diseases, definition, classification, assessment, preventive approaches, selection and implementation of different physiotherapy approaches covered in women’s health physiotherapy, planning of assessment and treatment approaches in prosthetic and orthotic applications.
