Objectives and Contents |
Objectives: |
This course aims to introduce transition from caves and rock shelters to settled life, first settlements and construction techniques and materials used in these settlements. The development of prehistoric periods, the characteristics of each period and the reflections of these qualities on the architecture are explained over the settlements dated to those periods and the students are expected to comprehend the development of prehistoric architecture. |

Contents of the course include archaeological excavation data of the development of Anatolian architecture starting from pre-historic periods until the end of the Iron Age period. |
