This course aims to obtain basic information about the concepts of surveying, restitution, restoration and conservation in historical structures, examining historical structures in terms of material and building techniques, learning surveying techniques, examining the factors causing deterioration in cultural properties, examining the works in terms of architectural history, construction techniques and restorations made, and making surveying applications. |

Contents of the course include learning basic concepts and approaches in examining historical structures, values to be conserved, factors causing deterioration in cultural properties, restoration techniques, re-functioning and providing general information on conservation approaches in Turkey, and performing surveying application by conducting scientific review of an old structure. |
