Objectives and Contents
Objectives: This course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge of foreign trade and to teach import and export financing methods.
Content: Contents of the course include the subjects as in the characteristics of foreign trade financing, factors that increase the risk in foreign trade financing; documentary credits, letter of credit, acceptance credits, endorsement loan, pre-financing, the financing aspects of the advance on goods or against documents, alternative financing techniques; factoring, forfeiting, leasing, financing of exports; pre-shipment financing, post-shipment financing, export guaranteed investment, currency risk reduction methods; forward transactions, financial future contracts, option contracts, agreements of ceiling-maximum rate, lower limit and floor, currency swaps.
