Aim and Objectives

Aim of the Program

The aim of the department is to educate qualified dietitians who possess advanced professional competence and ethical values, in accordance with nationally and internationally recognized professional standards; who contribute to the protection, improvement, and promotion of individual and public health throughout the lifespan, as well as to the enhancement of quality of life, by ensuring adequate and balanced nutrition at both individual and community levels; who apply evidence-based scientific principles related to nutrition and foods in the fields of health promotion and disease prevention and management; and who are capable of contributing to the development of nutrition policies and performing at world-class standards in both the public and private sectors.

Objectives of the Program

  1. To train nutrition and diet specialists who produce nutritional information at national and international level and use this knowledge in the development of nutrition and dietetics.
  2. To train nutrition and diet specialists who contribute to the country in the fields of protection of human health and improvement of diseases in line with scientific principles based on evidence on nutrition and foods.
  3. To develop nutrition policies, to train nutrition and diet specialists that enable public and private sector organizations to operate at world standards.
  4. To train qualified "dietitians" with high-level professional skills.
