The aim of the department is to produce graduates who are sensitive to individual/community health, meet the need for care in cases of deviation from health, see and solve problems, and do not deviate from ethical principles, at national and international levels.
Department of Nursing aims to train nurses with the following characteristics; Having advanced knowledge and skills in the field, using nursing processes / models / theories in their practice, performing nursing roles, making the right decisions and taking responsibility in critical situations, analyzing and solving health care problems based on evidence, using professional autonomy, serving as a member of the healthcare team cooperating in the field and interdisciplinary, doing national and international studies, successful in employment and academic exams, taking part in all areas where health services are provided, protecting human dignity and privacy.
The rate of elderly population and the incidence of chronic and infectious diseases are increasing in our country and around the world. As a result, the need for health care services is increasing day by day. Nurses, an important part of the health care system, are needed more and more in every area of the system. The need for nursing brings many opportunities and opportunities to the profession and its members, and leads to the development of different fields.
