Political Science and Public Administration is a discipline that helps explain and understand the political and administrative changes that take place at the local and international level. In this context, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration aims to train leaders who will lead the public, private sector and political life.
The main objective of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration is to train graduates preferred in local and central administration for all levels of public administration, who will be leaders in the society they live in, open to contemporary developments and exchanges, respecting differences on the basis of democracy and human rights.
Graduates of Political Science and Public Administration have the opportunity to pursue careers in the public, private and third sector organizations by taking advantage of the interdisciplinary training. The graduates of the department are employed as specialists, inspection board members, administrative judges, district governors, middle and top level managers in different fields in the public, private and voluntary organizations such as ministries, local governments, SEEs, non-governmental organizations, financial institutionsand so on according to their education on the fields such as political science, administration, law, economics.
The students are admitted to the associate and undergraduate programs of our university with the lateral transfer within the quota in accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transition between Programs in the Associate and Undergraduate Level in Higher Education Institutions, Credit Transfer between Institutions with Double Majorand Minor”.
Graduates of vocational colleges can continue their undergraduate education for four years if they fulfill the relevant regulations.
