The student distinguishes upper extremity amputation levels and the prosthetic types specific to these levels.
The student performs the measurement-taking, model modification, fabrication, and finishing stages of upper extremity prostheses appropriate to the amputation level.
The student compares different upper extremity prosthetic systems (cosmetic, body-powered, myoelectric) in terms of their functional characteristics.
The student analyzes biomechanical, functional, and skin-related problems that may arise from prosthesis use and develops appropriate solution strategies.
The student develops a patient-specific upper extremity prosthetic application plan by evaluating functional suitability and individual needs.
