Acquire knowledge about lower and upper extremity amputations.
Utilize prosthetic components in the fabrication process.
Learn the process of taking plaster cast measurements from an amputee.
Obtain information about the history of prosthetics.
Understand amputee rehabilitation.
Gain knowledge about silicone, mechanical, myoelectric, and microprocessor-controlled prosthetics.
Be familiar with materials used in socket fabrication such as PVA, Dacron, Stockinette, carbon, and resins.
