The student; will be informed about the materials he/she will see and use in the clinic in dentistry and the techniques he/she will apply and will feel like a clinician. The student; 1. Knows and explains the definition and goals of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery and laboratory evaluation methods 2. Has general information about systemic diseases and knows the points to be considered in dentistry 3. Can perform preoperative and postoperative patient care 4. Knows the indications and contraindications for sedation and general anesthesia and explains what to pay attention to 5. Explains the antibiotics used in dentistry and their side effects 6. Can perform prophylaxis for patients in dentistry 7. Explains the use and side effects of analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs used in dentistry 8. Can write prescriptions and explain the rules to be considered while writing them, 9. Explains sterilization and disinfection materials and their use 10. Lists the rules to be considered while using surgical instruments used in maxillofacial surgery and the complications that may arise 11. Lists the indications and contraindications for tooth extraction 12. Can prepare for surgery in maxillofacial surgery 13. Explains the types of incisions and sutures 14. Explains the classification of impacted teeth and the complications they cause. 15. Explains the traumas that occur in the body and the wound healing mechanism and the wound healing that occurs after tooth extraction. 16. Has sufficient knowledge about the indications and contraindications of apical resection and explains them. |
