Explain the fundamental concepts, objectives, and instruments of monetary policy, and evaluate the roles and functions of central banks. Analyze the determinants of money supply and money demand, and interpret the effects of monetary policy on economic activity. Explain the transmission mechanism of monetary policy and assess the impact of monetary policy decisions on income, employment, and inflation. Analyze the short- and long-run effects of monetary policy using the IS–LM model, the aggregate supply–aggregate demand framework, and the rational expectations approach. Evaluate the international financial system and the implementation of monetary policy in Turkey in light of historical and contemporary developments.
