OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to provide the student with the competence to plan the evolution of modern city and urban planning discipline, sustainable urban transformation in the social, economic and political conditions of the relevant periods and in the process of cultural structure. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include the subjects such as the dynamics of emergence of modern cities, the structures of cities during and after industrial revolution, the relation of the different planning approaches emerging in the urban planning history to the concepts of fordism, post-fordism, modernism, post-modernism and globalisation. |
