OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with basic knowledge on the historical development process and social effects of communication technologies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include development of writing, printing, telegram, photograph, cinema, radio, television and new media, starting from the communication tools of the first age civilizations.

Explain the historical development of media tools.
Define social effects of mass communication tools
Interpret the transformation of today's media tools.
Explain the emergence and development of Turkish media.
