OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to give students the ability to write film script. To recognize the basic features of the concept of Dramatic Conflict and the rules to be followed in writing scripts, the choosing the right language and words, the creation of the creative idea, to develop cinema, short films and stories with examples.
Contents of the Course Unit: To understand the differences between scenario technique with the other types of writing technique, to explore the technical, aesthetic, creative writing and meaning processes of the texts prepared for the purposes of short film, cinema text, advertising and publicity and to contribute to the use of language in a simple and in the easiest way. Students will be able to learn all stages of screen-writing and prepare for film production.

Use basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
Explain the transfer functions of visual language with the story.
Identify the modern techniques, tools and cinema and television technologies necessary for applications related to the field.
Explain how to make projects in Cinema and Television by using the professional environment and tools related to the field.
Know scenario techniques and types.
Write the story in script format.
Know the techniques of character creation in scenario.
