OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to have students presented their handicrafts on jewelry and accessories design by combining it with computer aided design programs and explained the complementary design processes in collections. Students will be able to create pieces complementary of the collections. It is hereby aimed at the end of this course to have students gain the ability of using the practical knowledge gained in jewelry and accessories processes in their projects by putting them into practice.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; creating complementary components for clothes over cultural and thematic studies by making design and doing practices.

Describe basic information and concepts in jewelry and accessories.
Relate the historical, thematic and conceptual knowledge regarding jewelry and accessories with practical knowledge.
Interpret the historical knowledge by using them in cultural projects.
Produce complementary jewelry and accessories for collections in several themes with the help of skills in practice and understanding of design.
