OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the processes of recognition of sound, ensure balance and harmony between sound and image, sound production appropriate to image and transformation of sound being experienced by the students.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include providing general knowledge on the sound design and parallelism to image, then practising with sample studies accompanied by subjects such as recognition of sound, changing the frequency, modulation and phase, production of a new sound, etc. In the course explaining the importance of sound in television and cinema, an audio program called Adobe Audition is used.

Define sound and sound design.
Outline general knowledge about sound editing and composition.
Explain sound production, transformation and techniques used in the process.
Tell different areas of use for sound.
Compare techniques with different sound mixing and integration with video by examining film and TV series.
Illustrate the importance and meaning of editing in television and cinema on the works done.
