Objectives of the Course Unit: | To evaluate patients who have orthopedic problems before and after surgery, to determine, implement and follow rehabilitation programs. To transfer the previous theoretical knowledge and skills to the clinical work for the athlete's health, to develop the case-specific clinical problem solving, to improve the decision making skills and to improve the interdisciplinary working attitude in the field of spore rehabilitation.To contribute to the transfer of the previous theoretical knowledge and skills to the clinical work in the field of orthopedic rehabilitation, especially in the rehabilitation approaches after upper extremity, hand and peripheral nerve injuries, to develop special clinic problem solving and decision making skills and to develop multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach in the field of orthopedic rehabilitation. Understanding basic information about cardiopulmonary physiotherapy and rehabilitation; improve the planning and implementation skills of physiotherapy rehabilitation programs in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation unit. Understanding basic knowledge about prosthetic orthosis and biomechanical applications; training prosthetics / orthotics of patients using prosthesis / orthosis, and improving the planning and application skills of physiotherapy rehabilitation programs. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Selection and implementation of evaluation methods specific to orthopedic problems. Determination of near and distant targets in the treatment of patients with orthopedic problems. Recognition of orthopedic surgical procedures in bone and soft tissues. Identification of possible complications and prevention methods after surgery. Discussion and implementation of existing post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation protocols. Increase the level of skills and knowledge required to apply orthopedic rehabilitation treatment methods. Basic level applications in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Basic level practices related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation of upper limb, hand and peripheral nerve injuries followed up remotely. Practical application of special treatment and evaluation approaches to physiotherapy and rehabilitation in adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary problems.
