Objectives of the Course Unit: | In this course, it is aimed to gain knowledge and attitudes about the analysis, design and implementation of curricula and plans applied in preschool education institutions. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Definition and history of curriculum in early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practices, historical and theoretical influences on early childhood curriculum, current curriculum models in early childhood education, Turkish ECE program. |

Recognize characteristics of an effective early childhood program. |
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. |
Have the knowledge of the history of early childhood education and its impact on current practices in the field. |
Have the knowledge about the characteristics and principles of Turkish Early Childhood Education Program. |
Investigate other curriculum approaches of early childhood education. |
Recognize the contents of Turkish Early Childhood Education Program. |
Identify and address state and national standards for early childhood education and content areas as developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood education. |
Develop an integrated activity plan for the early childhood level. |
