OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the basic knowledge and skills to grasp the proper, fluent and comprehensible text-reading methods and on studies for on-screen applications in news texts.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include effective and eloquence, proper breathing, dubbing and presentation techniques. Students practice the subjects verbally explained in the course together with the instructor personally. Practices are done with groups of two in some weeks to allow students to observe each other's mistakes.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Use appropriate voice and breathing techniques while reading a given text.
Recognize the mistakes made in the spoken language within framework of diction rules.
Present television programs by following the body language and diction rules.
Apply text readings and microphone effectively within framework of spoken language rules.
