OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to explain the mass communication process, basic functions, mediums, and theories.
Contents of the Course Unit:	The scope of the course includes dominant approaches and critical approaches in mass communication, development, effects, and control of mass media.

Defines and classifies basic communication theories.
Evaluates the relations between mass media and society based on different mass communication theories.
Discusses mass communication activities in producer and consumer culture.
