OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts of Radio and Television Broadcasting and to provide basic information about technical, content and supervisory / regulatory structures in the context of television broadcasting.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include subjects such as the historical development of television as a technological innovation, television broadcasting in the world and in Turkey, types of broadcasting, terrestrial broadcasting, satellite television broadcasting, IPTV and Internet TV broadcasting, mobile TV broadcasting.

Discuss historical development and stages of television broadcasting in Turkey.
Describe data required for the studies in radio and television technology field.
Analyze technological and historical development of television broadcasting in political and cultural context.
Compare broadcasting technologies used in television broadcasting to show advantages and disadvantages.
