OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The focus of this class is on real-life language use, the integration of French and Francophone culture and language, and the acquisition of the four skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
Contents of the Course Unit: Basic Intercultural Communication Skills

Recognize familiar words and very basic phrases concerning themselves, their family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly.
Understand familiar names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices for posters or in catalogues.
Ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.
