OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to examine the meteorological phenomena in the atmosphere, to determine the effects of meteorological phenomena in aviation and to analyze the precautions related to these phenomena through case studies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include subjects such as concepts of atmosphere layers, temperature, heat, humidity, pressure and density, classification of clouds, icing, thunderstorm and turbulence.

Identify basic meteorological concepts.
Explain the meteorological reports and documents used in aviation.
Classify the meteorological phenomena occurring in the atmosphere according to their types.
