OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The goal is to help psychologists reach a higher level of service by attending to the practical ethical issues that arise as they deliver health care, teach, conduct research,or engage in other professional activities.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include subjects such as 'Ethics theories and history, APA and TPD codes of ethics and applications, scientific research ethics'.

Explain the concept of ethics and the historical development of the concept. (Bloom’s 2)
Distinguish theories related to ethics and practices in the field of psychology. (Bloom's 2)

Discuss why ethics are necessary when conducting research involving human subjects.
