OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The purpose of this lesson is to To research long-running ethnic conflicts and security-based issues in Central Asia and the Caucasus after the Cold War.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this lesson includes the historical and current developments in Central Asia and the Caucasus, these regions' importance in the world politics and relations with Turkey.

It explains the basic features and dynamism of the understanding of security in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
It discusses the historical developments of relations among Central Asian and Caucasian states and the developments of regional organizations.
It analizes the current political developments in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
It establishes relations between regional security issues in Asia and global security issues.
