OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with a general understanding of the universal management theories, functions, and management concepts and elements, and the necessary infrastructure for students to use this knowledge in their professional lives.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the basic concepts of organization and management as in organization, management, public and private sectors, classical organization theories, neo-classical organization theories and comparison of organizational theories.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List the main similarities and differences between public and private sector by recognizing them.
Define the main concepts of Political Science and Public Management field.
Explain management processes.
Explain organization theories (classical and neo-classical) comparatively.
Interpret organization theories with a critical perspective.
