OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Dersin amacı, kronolojik olarak Türk siyasal hayatında dönüm noktası olmuş önemli dönüm noktalarını, aktörler, önemli olaylar ve yapısal değişim açısından incelemek ve Türk siyasi hayatındaki devamlılıklar ve kırılmaları analiz etmektir.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği, Türk siyasetinde önemli dönem noktaları, tematik konular ve temel tartışmalaı, Osmanlı'dan günümüze Türk siyasal hayatının çeşitli süreçlerini, yapılarını ve bunların Türk siyasi hayatına etkilerini, Osmanlı mirası ve Batı modernleşmesi, Jön Türk devrimi, çok partili siyasi hayata geçiş, 1960-1980 dönemi ve askeri ihtilaller, 1990’larda siyasal İslamin yükselişi, 2000’lerde hızlanan Avrupa Birliği süreci ve sürecin demokrasi, ordu, devlet, sivil toplum ve Kürt sorunu gibi konu ve kavramları kapsamaktadır.

Osmanlı dönemindeki tarihsel deneyimlerin Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki etkisini inceler.
Jön Türkler döneminde yaşanılan tarihi deneyimlerin Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki yansımalarını analiz eder.
Türk Bağımsızlık Savaşı'nın ve Atatürk döneminin Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki etkisini inceler.
1938-1945 döneminin Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki yansımalarını analiz eder.
Çok partili döneme geçişi, Demokrat Parti dönemini ve 27 Mayıs 1960'ın Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki etkisini inceler.
1960-1971 arası dönemi ve 12 Mart 1971'in Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki etkisini analiz eder.
1971-1980 arası dönemi ve 12 Eylül 1980'in Türk siyasal hayatı üzerindeki etkisini inceler.
