OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
| Objectives of the Course Unit: |
To provide information about the financial crises experienced in the Turkish and global economies and to provide an analytical perspective on the causes and consequences of the crises. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: |
The fundamental subject of financial crises as a field of science is the analytical evaluation of the causes of crises that have emerged locally and globally in the 20th century, when globalization began, and especially from the 1980s, when financial integration accelerated, to the present day, in the context of their consequences on the scale of countries and global economies, and the effectiveness of the measures taken. |

| Explain the concepts of economic and financial crises, the types of crises, and the underlying causes of crises.
Analyze major economic crises in the world economy from a historical perspective.
Evaluate economic and financial crises experienced in the Turkish economy in terms of their causes and consequences.
Interpret the effects of economic crises on macroeconomic indicators, financial markets, and exchange rates.
Critically assess the monetary and fiscal policy measures implemented in response to economic crises. |
