OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge and skill to prepare the athletic training programs specific to the athlete.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; concepts related to training sciences, concepts of athletic performance and strength, speed, durability, coordination and flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, coordination and flexibility training methods and specific needs of sports, skill concept and skills of sports branches, training program for fitness development.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the elements that constitute the training organization.
Apply training programs that aim to improve basic motor skills
Analyze the training needs of the sports branch.
Evaluate the fitness of the content of the program by examining the training programs specific to athlete and sports branch.
Prepare training programs specific for athlete.
