OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Tarih öncesi dönemden başlayarak 17.-18. yüzyıllar arasına geçen süreçte sosyal ve kültürel ortamda yaşanan değişimlerin mimarlık ortamına yansımaları tespit edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Söz konusu zaman aralığı Hristiyanlık dinin ortaya çıktığı devir sonrasında Avrupa merkezli ortaya çıkan mimari üslupların tanıtılması amaçlanmıştır. Ders kapsamında incelenen mimarlık ürünlerinin tarihi dönemlerde değişen mimari özellikleri ve bunlardaki çeşitlilikler ortaya konmaya çalışılacaktır. Tek bir yapı üzerinden yapılan incelemelerin kentsel ölçek kapsamında gösterdiği farklılıklar ve benzerlikler karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilecektir
Contents of the Course Unit:	Tarih öncesi ilk yapılar ve yerleşim merkezleri anlatılacaktır. Antik dönem Mezopotamya, Mısır, Pers, Minos, Miken, Etrüsk, Roma Pers, Yunan, Roma mimarisi tanıtılacaktır. Hristiyanlığın ortaya çıkışı sonrası Erken Hristiyanlık Dönemi, Romanesk, Karolenj ve Otto dönemi mimarlık anlayışları anlatılacaktır. Avrupa ve çevresinde inkişaf eden Gotik, Rönesans, Barok ve Rokoko mimarisi izah edilecektir. Ders sürecinde anlatılan dönemlerde mimarlığının oluşumunda bölgede var olan siyasal, kültürel ve ekonomik alandaki değişimler yapı türleri üzerinden değerlendirilecektir. Dönem yapılarının şehirlerin sosyal hayatına etkileri tartışılarak belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır.

Tarih öncesi dönemden başlayarak Ortaçağ Avrupası ve çevre coğrafyasındaki dönemi yapılarının mimari özelliklerini tanımlayabilir.
Tarih öncesi devirden başlayarak Ortaçağ dönemine kadar olan süreçteki mimarlık anlayışındaki değişimleri yapı türleri üzerinden kavrayabilirler.
Tarih öncesi dönemden başlayarak Barok ve Rokoko dönemine kadar geçen devri kapsayan dönemin mimarlık disiplini üzerine yapılmış ulusal ve uluslararası çalışmalar hakkında ilgi sahibi olurlar.
İnsanoğlunun ilk inşa ettiği yapı türlerinin 17. ve 18. yüzyıllar arasındaki devre gelinceye kadar olan zaman aralığındaki mimari özelliklerindeki değişimleri tespit edebilirler.
Uygarlıklar tarihindeki siyasi ve kültürel değişimlerin mimarlık ortamına yansımalarını değerlendirebilirler, dönemlerin mimari terminolojisiyle ilgili bilgi sahibi olurlar.
