OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It aims to teach the rules that should be applied to an architectural project for earthquake-resistant building design by showing reinforced concrete structural members, systems and their design parameters.
Contents of the Course Unit: An introduction to the members of reinforced concrete structures and types of structural systems, examining the design parameters and points to be considered in choosing a structural system for earthquake resistant design

To have general information on earthquake resistant design of buildings
To learn the basics of the design criteria of reinforced concrete structures by obtaining knowledge about the standards and regulations
To obtain knowledge about the issues to be considered in architectural projects in terms of earthquake-resistant building design
