OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Information about the properties and uses of ferrous and non-ferrous materials as well as areas in the new material.
Contents of the Course Unit: Introduction of material types, classification, metallic materials, properties of metallic materials, material selection, structure of materials, bond types, the crystal lattice systems, importance, effects on material properties, the fundamentals of plastic deformation changes, problems, constant heating and continuous cooling curves in metals and alloys, alloy and phase diagrams, phase, concentration, component relationships, lever arm equation and its applications, iron - carbon metastable and information and studies about the stable equilibrium diagram, temperature - time - transformation diagrams, some thermal process information, steel and cast iron materials standards, important mechanical and non-destructive testing methods
