OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: General concepts in architecture and the light of these concepts from the birth of Islamic architecture Students will be able to interpret the architectural styles that have been put forward in the period from the beginning of the history to the end of the last period of Ottoman architectural history.
Contents of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to explain the process of architectural history from the beginning of Islamic architecture to the Republican era through visual filters.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

1-To interpret and evaluate the principles of architecture and urban development in the development of social and cultural history.
2-To be able to compare architecture and urban design.
3- Gains the ability to evaluate the periodical features of Turkish-Islamic architecture.
