OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
|
---|---|
Objectives of the Course Unit: | To be able to comprehend that there are material production methods that will meet the needs of people and industry required for manufacturing technicians or that the properties of manufactured materials are changeable. To be able to recognize the types of materials used in the industrial field, to understand their basic properties, to choose the most suitable materials for usage and design. It is aimed to classify materials, to know their internal structures, to interpret the Fe-C equilibrium diagram, to understand steel hardening and standards. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | It covers basic material information, elements and their properties, material compositions, alloys in Fe element and their effects, iron-equilibrium diagram, factors in material selection. |
