OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Facility layout planning in production and service sectors, methods used in planning and basic knowledge about these issues.
Contents of the Course Unit: It includes the methods to be used in the integration of the processes of an existing layout plan on the existing facility, the layout planning of a new facility or the improvement to provide a better flow, facility location selection and layout planning methods.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Will be able to make improvements on an existing facility design.
Will be able to determine the optimum installation location in the installation of a new facility.
The facility will be able to use software for layout optimization.
Necessary calculation criteria for facility planning will be determined.
