OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Is to realize an open education in art history, from a broad perspective. For this reason, a program covering Byzantine, Seljuk, Ottoman, Republican Turkey and modern periods was established starting from Antiquity. Apart from the provision of historical knowledge, it is also aimed to grasp theoretical approaches
Contents of the Course Unit: Beginning from the beginning, the development of all visual arts branches, under the headings of Early Christian, Byzantine, Early Middle Ages, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, based on the historical, economic, social and political background,

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

1.To examine and explain the process of formation and development of Turkish Art 1.1.To explain the development process of Turkish Art. 1.2 Explains decisive internal and external influences in the formation of Turkish Art. He will be able to explain Turkish Art until the end of the Seljuk art. 2.1.1Hun Göktürk and Uighur Art 2.2. Explains Karabanlı, Gazneli and Great Seljuk Art. 3 2.Anadolu describes Seljuk Art. 3.1.will be able to distinguish between Turkish art and art works historically and regionally. 3.2 evaluates the characteristics of Anatolian Seljuk art in different periods comparing with similarities and differences.3.3. Evaluates the technical decoration features of the material used in Turkish arts. 4 1. Will be able to distinguish Turkish art and art works historically and regionally from the Seljuk period to the present day in Anadoluda. Explains Ottoman Art and Architecture 4.2. Explains the development of Turkish Art 4. 18-19 Century 4. Analyzes new style and decoration features in Turkish Architecture. 4.
